About Me:
Effigy49 began in London in 2004 where sisters Jade and Amber opened a boutique in Wandsworth selling a small range of printed singlets and tees. Encouraged by the demand, a sister Company was opened in Australia now selling to over 50 retailers Nationwide and recently during Rosemount Fashion Week 08 receiving orders to distribute Internationally.
The sister team behind the Aussie label Effigy49 has always been the strong point of the labels success. With the design acumen of Jade Dockary and business and marketing strengths of Amber Johnson, individuality, art and affordability has always been their key focus when contemplating their designs.
Their label has its own unique identity, style and attitude, along with its own market niche and is all about cutting edge original designer streetwear. Each range showcases a palette of colours infused with the allure of standing out from the crowd with Effigy’s creative ‘Art work’ on tees becoming synonymous with the sisters label, as well as a series of shorts, dresses and jackets which blurr the line between sexy and edgy streetwear.
Effigy49 also offers customers a graphic Art book of over 40 images (included with each range) and these hand drawn images can be selected to go on different block shape tees.
All Effigy49 garments are priced at the mid/upper edge of the market, competing with name-brand designs offering designer retail outlets reliable high quality garments, produced and distributed at a high turn around with quality control and stock control as one of their main focus points.
Each piece from an Effigy49 collection is tantalisingly tongue-in cheek and pushes parameters in order to highlight unique influences, such as music, world events, diversified imagery, hidden patterns and imagery creating their own Artistic experience through clothing for the fashion conscious music loving street wear crowd.
