I gained extensive travel industry knowledge as a result of planning and executing travel itineraries for thousands of happy travellers over the past 21 years.
Beginning my travel career in 1986 with TAA (Trans-Australia Airlines) which later became Australian Airlines, I continued my travel career as a leisure consultant with Qantas and for Ansett Airlines in their corporate travel division.
During my career, I have worked for a number of travel agencies throughout Australia. While working at one of the agencies, and in recognition of my efficient service and vast travel knowledge, I was recruited by the Canadian High Commission and the Embassy of Japan to be their official travel agent.
Prior to my travel career, I was an accomplished secretary and held positions in a number of areas of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, including the Cabinet office, and later with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Task Force as secretary to Sir John Bunting. My secretarial career also included a position as secretary to the Information Attaché at the South African Embassy.
The travel industry is complex and continually changing, and as a result of my extensive travel experience and knowledge, I decided to write "The Travel Planning Checklist” to educate those who are not so well-travelled, become aware of essential information travellers need to know when planning their next trip abroad. I'm currently working in the travel industry at the Gold Coast, Australia.
